COVID-19 Update

Message from the West Rouge Soccer Club Board of Directors

Date: Nov 25, 2020

Statement on Current Programs

The purpose of this notice is to provide members of the West Rouge Soccer Club an update related to Ontario Soccer and the COVID-19 situation.

The West Rouge Soccer Club Board of Directors and Technical Director continue to meet regularly to review items related to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic that affects the Club and its membership.

The health and safety of our players, coaches, members and staff is of the utmost importance as we continue to manage through this situation.

Given the recent Government of Ontario regional classifications and Ontario Soccer directives, the current situation with COVID restrictions, both at the Provincial level as well as from Ontario Soccer (our governing body), is very fluid. The Club is actively working with our training facility partners to manage the situation, taking into consideration the safety of all participants, as well as the directives from multiple governing bodies.

The Club will be suspending all programs for the next 4 weeks. The Club had already scheduled a break leading up to and including Christmas and New Years to accommodate our membership during the holidays.

We expect programs to start as scheduled in January 2021, assuming our governing bodies allow training activities to resume at that time. Also, many of the Club's teams have expressed a desire to reschedule missed training dates when facilities are available again in 2021.  Once the indoor season concludes, be it shortened or extended, the Club will determine per program if there is a net reduction or addition of contracted time at the indoor facilities, and appropriately calculate the financial compensation applicable (if any) to each Team and/or player.

Thank-you for your consideration!

The Board of Directors and Staff
